Our vision

Positioning Québec as a global leader in smart and sustainable air mobility.

In an increasingly competitive global landscape, Espace Aéro will strengthen the attractivebess of the industry and enhance Qu.bec's international strategic positioning in the aerospace sector.

Firmly rooted in a globally recognized ecosystem - where Montréal ranks as the world's 3rd largest aerospace hub - Espace Aéro will help propel Québec's cluster to the next level of collaborative innovation and accelerate the transition toward sustainable and intelligent air mobility while attracting talent and businesses from here and abroad.

Our mission

Transforming the industry through the synergy of people and ideas.

To achieve its goal, Espace Aéro will rely on the three hubs - three strategic campuses - located across Greater Montréal: the cities of Montréal (Saint-Laurent borough), Mirabel, and Longueuil. Each hub contributes in a unique and synergistic way to espace Aéro's shared vision, centered on two key themes: decarbonation and autonomy

By bringing together the strengths of these three hubs, Espace Aéro will foster collaboration across all players from SMEs to glbal industry leaders, as well as educational institutions and research organizations.

In the context of a major industry transformation to address climate change, Espace Aéro will act as a catalyst for sustainable innovation throughout the ecosystem.

Our team

A team mobilized to get innovation off the ground.

At the heart of Espace Aéro, committed team is piloting the deployment of Québec's aerospace innovation zone, in collaboration with the industrial, academic and institutional ecosystem.

Strategic Axes

The Québec aerospace sector has also focused on the emergence of sustainable air mobility, which promises to be the industry's maximum growth sector over the next 20 years.

Decarbonation

  • Greener aircraft configurations
  • Lighter and more sustainable structures
  • Less polluting and more efficient systems

Autonomy

  • Development, testing, and certification of advanced air mobility solutions
  • Automated and intelligent piloting
  • Remote control (Artificial Intelligence)
  • Flight safety and system cybersecurity
Member states of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), headquartered in Montréal, have agreed to a collective goal of achieving carbon neutrality for civil aviation by 2050. Determined to lead this transformation, players in Québec's aerospace sector came together to envision an innovation zone that would accelerate the journey from idea to market for innovation projects directly tied to the industry's decarbonation.

Changing the dynamics of collaboration by injecting agility, flexibility, and talent into the innovation value chain with the goal of shortening the time between idea and commercialization.
