Our vision

Make Quebec a world leader in sustainable and intelligent air mobility.

In an increasingly competitive international context, Espace Aéro will strengthen the attractiveness of the industry and the international strategic positioning of Quebec's aerospace sector.

Rooted in a globally recognized ecosystem, where Montréal stands out as the 3rd largest aerospace hub on the planet, Espace Aéro will propel the Quebec cluster to its next level of collaborative innovation and accelerate transformation towards sustainable and intelligent air mobility, while attracting talent and companies from here and abroad.

OurMission

Transforming the industry through synergy of players and ideas

To achieve its goal, Espace Aero will rely ontkings poles, true strategic campuses, spread over three territories of Greater Montreal: theCities of Montreal (arr. St. Lawrence), Mirabel and Longueuil. Each pole
It contributes uniquely and synergistically to Espace Aéro's common vision around two strong themes: decarbonization and autonomy.

By joining forces from these three clusters, Espace Aero will stimulate collaboration between all actors, from small and medium-sized enterprises to large international players, educational institutions and the research community.

Against a backdrop of major industry transformation to cope with climate change, Espace Aero will act as the catalyst for sustainable innovation for the ecosystem.

Team

A team mobilized to take off innovation.

In the heart of Espace Aéro, a committed team manages the deployment of Quebec's aerospace innovation zone, in collaboration with the industrial, academic and institutional ecosystem.

Strategic themes

Quebec's aerospace sector has also focused on emergingNceSustainable air mobility, which promises to be the industry's maximum growth sector over the next 20 years.

Decarbonization

  • Greener vehicle configurations
  • Lighter and more sustainable structures
  • Less polluting systems and more

Autonomy

  • Development, testing and certification of advanced air mobility solutions
  • Autopilot and intelligent
  • Remote control (Artificial Intelligence)
  • Theft security and cybersecurity of systems
Member countries of the Montreal-based International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), headquartered in Montreal, have agreed on a common carbon neutrality target for civil air transport by 2050. Determined to play a leading role in this change, players in the Quebec aerospace sector gathered to imagine an innovation zone that would accelerate the transition from idea to commercialization on innovation projects directly related to the decarbonization of the industry.

Change the dynamics of collaboration by bringing agility, flexibility and talent to the innovation value chain to reduce the time between the idea and the commercialization of innovations.
